On June 6, the German Business Association and its members traveled to Gyumri to visit the member companies of its association in the Shirak region. The first stop was the DWV member Gyumri Beer factory, where we learned about the history of beer in Armenia, particularly in Gyumri, as well as the history of our member company, including its product types, quality standards, and flavors. We had the opportunity to taste different types of beer and take a tour of the factory. Afterward, we headed to the Berlin ART Hotel, where we had an organized tour through the hotel area. We learned about the hotel’s history and concept, explored all the available amenities and room types, had the opportunity to see works by local artists displayed in the hotel, and visited the RoofTop25 tourist center located on the hotel’s roof. Berlin Art Hotel highly values local artists and supports them by showcasing their works within the hotel. The hotel is also one of Armenia’s first social enterprises, with profits directed towards funding the adjacent polyclinic and other charitable initiatives.
