Be My Guest by Tigran Mets Publishing House

On April 16, as part of the Be My Guest event series, the German Business Association and its several member companies visited one of its members, Tigran Mets Publishing House.During the visit, we explored the history of one of Armenia’s largest and oldest printing houses, gaining insight into its services and key strengths.After the introductory session, we toured various departments of the publishing house, getting a closer look at the production processes and the wide range of services offered.The visit wrapped up with a warm reception and a networking session, during which we had a brief video call with our new member from Germany, Lusine von Wrangel, and learned about the services she offers.We sincerely thank Tigran Mets Publishing House for the warm welcome and an engaging, memorable meeting.
“Economic Monitor of Armenia” event by Berlin Economics

n April 3, we had an insightful event with the German Economic Team / Berlin Economics on the Economic Monitor of Armenia.Representatives from Berlin Economics presented their latest analytical findings on Armenia’s economic situation, providing valuable insights into the country’s growth, challenges, and opportunities. Additionally, they shared key results from their study on Armenia’s energy sector. Over 40 member companies of the German Business Association attended the event. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where attendees could dive deeper into the topics presented.
Visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia

From March 31 to April 1, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, visited Armenia on a working trip. During his visit, he held meetings with the President of Armenia, the Minister of Economy, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In addition to political discussions, the focus was also on the process of strengthening ties between Armenia and the European Union, as well as the deepening of cultural cooperation. On March 31, the President also visited the Komitas Museum-Institute, where a cultural reception took place. The reception was attended by our Board President, Artashes Margaryan.
Executive Gathering organized by Matena

On March 20 he “Matena” International Business School organized an Executive Gathering at “UWC Dilijan”. One part of the event was dedicated to a dynamic panel discussion on the topic of “Networking as a Strategic Tool for Executive Leadership,” with representatives from various business associations participating. The Board President of the German Business Association, Artashes Margaryan, took part in the discussions.
German-Armenian Business Dialogue

On March 20, the online event “German-Armenian Business Dialogue” was held, organized by the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft), Enterprise Armenia, and the German Business Association in Armenia. We are pleased to note that more than 57 participants joined the event. During the event, H.E. Viktor Yengibaryan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Germany, provided important information regarding Armenia’s internal situation and geopolitical security, which is of great importance to foreign companies and investors. Among the event’s speakers, Dr. Ricardo Giucci from Berlin Economics presented their analysis and statistical data on Armenia’s economic situation, while Anna Hovhannisyan from Enterprise Armenia spoke about the country’s investment environment, government support for investors, and a number of other key topics. The event was moderated by Alena Akulich, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at the German Eastern Business Association, and Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association in Armenia. The event concluded with a Q&A session.
DWV General Assembly

On February 18, the annual meeting of the members of the German Business Association took place. The opening speeches were delivered by Artashes Margaryan, President of the DWV Board, and Erik Tintrup, Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy in Yerevan. As part of the event, Jan-Tage Kühling, Director of the Goethe-Institut, spoke about the opening of the Goethe-Institut in Armenia and the “Business Cooperation Circles” initiative, which Armenian companies can also participate in. The Association’s Managing Director, Mrs. Meri Navasardyan, informed the participants about the activities in 2024, initiatives, events carried out, a number of key developments, as well as collaborations with German partners. Mrs. Navasardyan also presented the goals for 2025 and the projects already planned. During the event, two board members were re-elected.Board President Mr. Margaryan also presented the board’s initiatives and objectives. The event was an excellent opportunity to come together again, discuss the goals for 2025, and establish new business connections among the association’s members.
“Category Management” masterclass for DWV members

On February 4th, the German Business Association organized a masterclass for its member companies titled “Category Management: A Key to Effective Business in Modern Retail”. The master class was led by Haikanush Tonoyan, the Commercial Director of ZigZag and an ECR expert. During the event, participants received important information about category management strategy, its significance, and its implementation. Practical exercises reinforced this knowledge. We would like to thank everyone for their active participation and such an interesting meeting.
DWV Christmas Party

On December 11th, the Christmas party of the German Business Association took place. The event was attended by the member organizations of the association as well as local and international business partners. The opening speech was given by the DWV Board President, Artashes Margaryan, followed by a brief presentation by the Managing Director of the German Business Association, Mrs. Meri Navasardyan. In her speech, Mrs. Navasardyan reported on the activities and events of the association in 2024. The collaboration with German partners and existing programs for Armenian businesses were also discussed. New members of the association were given the opportunity to introduce their companies and talk about their activities. Conversations and networking opportunities continued throughout the evening.
Be My Guest by Marianna Dairy Products Factory

On November 14, members of the German Business Association gathered for the latest edition of the “Be My Guest” event, which has become a cherished tradition. This time, they visited “Marianna” dairy factory, a member of DWV. During the visit, the company’s founder and director, Mr. Tigran Vardanyan, led an insightful tour, guiding participants through the entire production process—from milk production to the product laboratory and the final stages of packaging. We are deeply grateful to “Marianna” for their warm hospitality and for providing such an informative and engaging experience. RA Economic Monitor

On October 31, the “RA Economic Monitor” event was held, initiated by Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association. Representatives from Berlin Economics, a partner of the German Business Association, presented an overview of Armenia’s economic situation for the current year, along with monitoring results exclusively for association members. In addition to these findings, preliminary results from research on Armenia’s energy sector were shared. Members raised several insightful questions during the presentation, followed by an active discussion on the presented topics.
