Be My Guest by Marianna Dairy Products Factory

On November 14, members of the German Business Association gathered for the latest edition of the “Be My Guest” event, which has become a cherished tradition. This time, they visited “Marianna” dairy factory, a member of DWV. During the visit, the company’s founder and director, Mr. Tigran Vardanyan, led an insightful tour, guiding participants through the entire production process—from milk production to the product laboratory and the final stages of packaging.  We are deeply grateful to “Marianna” for their warm hospitality and for providing such an informative and engaging experience. RA Economic Monitor

On October 31, the “RA Economic Monitor” event was held, initiated by Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association. Representatives from Berlin Economics, a partner of the German Business Association, presented an overview of Armenia’s economic situation for the current year, along with monitoring results exclusively for association members. In addition to these findings, preliminary results from research on Armenia’s energy sector were shared. Members raised several insightful questions during the presentation, followed by an active discussion on the presented topics.

Career Orientation Day

The German Business Association participated once again in this year’s “Career Orientation Day” at the Goethe Center in Yerevan. The event provided students and parents with valuable insights into studying, working, and scholarship opportunities in Germany, as well as career paths in Armenia for German speakers.Three of the association’s members—CMX Solutions, Hayasa Hospitality Group, and Ingo Kusserow—shared valuable information about job prospects in hospitality, customer service, and healthcare.We would like to thank our member organizations for their presentations and for sharing valuable career insights with attendees. Erasmus Plus also participated in the event, and several other German institutions—such as the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Embassy in Armenia, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the German Language Center, and the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation)—were present with stands to answer questions from the public.

Oktoberfest with DWV members

On September 25, 2024, the German Business Association (DWV) together with its member organizations celebrated the world-famous Oktoberfest, which takes place annually in Munich, Bavaria. At the event, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia, H.E. Mrs. Claudia Busch, delivered a welcoming speech. The Deputy Ambassador Erik Tintrup, DWV Managing Director Mrs. Meri Navasardyan, and the DWV Board President Artashes Margaryan also welcomed the guests with short speeches. During the evening, Ambassador Mrs. Claudia Busch had the opportunity to get to know the member organizations of the German Business Association more closely and engage in individual conversations with them. We sincerely thank Her Excellency, Mrs. Claudia Busch, for accepting the invitation and for the fruitful discussions with the DWV members. Intertabac 2024: DWV member “Stone Island” presents Obsidian accessories from the “Vanakat” brand at the Dortmund trade fair

From September 19 to 21, 2024, the “Intertabac” trade fair took place in Dortmund, Germany – one of the largest cigar trade fairs in the world. During the event, DWV member “Stone Island” presented the unique collection of accessories from the “Vanakat” brand, made from exquisite obsidian stone. Visitors had the opportunity to personally experience the quality of these obsidian accessories and learn more about their dual function as both practical and aesthetic objects. Intertabac served as an excellent platform for the DWV member company to forge new partnerships and spread information about its products. The company was pleased with the high level of interest and positive feedback from the trade fair attendees. “Stone Island” is excited to have introduced its accessories to the international cigar industry and is confident that these products will quickly become customer favorites. “Vanakat” aims to develop products that meet both customer needs and current market trends – the Intertabac trade fair was a significant milestone in this process.
