Christmas Networking Event of the German Business Association

On December 19, the German Business Association held its annual Christmas Networking Event. As in previous years, representatives of the Association’s member organizations, along with local and international partners, were invited to participate. The event featured welcome addresses by Lars Hennig, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia and member of the DWV Advisory Board, and Artashes Margaryan, Chairman of the DWV Board. Mrs. Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association, also delivered a brief presentation. In her remarks, she outlined the Association’s activities, events, key projects, and strategic partnerships planned in 2025. New members of the Association were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their companies to fellow members. The evening continued in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving as an excellent platform for networking, meaningful discussions, and the development of potential future collaborations.
“International Arbitration, Export and Import Contracts, and Protection of Foreign Investments”

On December 5 and 6, the expert conference “International Arbitration, Export and Import Contracts, and Protection of Foreign Investments” was held, organized by the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and the German Business Association (DWV). During the conference, experts arriving from Germany presented reports on the following legal topics: dispute resolution, export and import contracts, investment protection, and regulatory frameworks. Members of the German Business Association, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, were invited to the event. The conference was moderated by Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association.
Delegation Trip of Armenian Construction Companies to Germany

From November 11 to 15, within the framework of Bayern International’s “Bayern Fit for Partnership” program, a delegation of Armenian construction companies, led by the executive director of the German Business Association, Meri Navasardyan, traveled to Bavaria to visit leading Bavarian companies in the construction sector. The delegation comprised more than 20 participants representing leading construction companies of the Republic of Armenia. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to tour several renowned German companies, including Liebherr, Peri, Meiller, Wacker Neuson, Metawell, STEICO, KLB Kötztal, Sommer Informatik, and Rohde. The visit provided an opportunity to gain insight into cutting-edge construction technologies and innovative solutions, learn from German best practices, exchange new ideas, and establish new trade partnerships between the two countries.
EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly on the theme “Armenia–EU Synergy: Advancing Resilience, Innovation, and Integration

On 29 October, the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly took place at the National Assembly of Armenia under the theme “Armenia–EU Synergy: Advancing Resilience, Innovation, and Integration.” The event was organized by the German Eastern Business Association, the European Parliament, and EBA Armenia. The German Business Association as well as several of its member companies also took part in the event. Representatives of the European Parliament, the Armenian Government, the EU Delegation, and leading companies from Europe, Armenia, and the region discussed investment, innovation, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and the deepening of cooperation between the EU and Armenia.Among the participants were, among others, Sergey Lagodinsky, Co-President of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly; Alena Akulich, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at the German Eastern Business Association; and H.E. Claudia Busch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia.
IT Monitor and Economic Outlook of Armenia

On 16 October, the German Business Association organized an event for its members on the topic “IT Monitor and Economic Outlook of Armenia.” During the event, our partner Dmitry Chervyakov, Analyst at Berlin Economics, presented the findings of the latest analyses on the Armenian economy and the IT sector. The event was also attended by Alena Akulich, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at the German Eastern Business Association (OA). In her presentation, Ms. Akulich spoke about the activities of the German Eastern Business Association and introduced participants to the areas of interest and cooperation opportunities for German companies.
Networking Event at Zangak

On 7 October, the German Business Association member Zangak organized a networking event for the members of the association. In the first part of the event, participants were given an exciting guided tour providing insights into the work of the Zangak bookstore, the Zangak publishing house, and the Tatev Educational Center with its “Manana” and “Universe” learning centers.The guests were introduced to the various stages of book production – from the initial idea to the finished printed copy. Afterwards, participants engaged in stimulating conversations with the company’s founders about current developments in the education sector and the new textbooks being introduced in Armenian schools. The event concluded with a delightful reception at the Zangak bookstore, where guests were able to enjoy culinary specialties prepared by the students of the Manana Educational Center.
“Category Management” Masterclass

On 25 September, the German Business Association organized a workshop for its members entitled “Category Management: A Key to Effective Business in Modern Retail.” The training was led by Haykanush Tonoyan, an expert from the ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) Association. During the event, participants learned about the category management method, its key features, its application by leading global companies, and the effectiveness of this approach. Different types of shoppers and their behaviours in various situations were also discussed. Theoretical knowledge was reinforced through practical group exercises.
Be My Guest at Aratashen Winery

On 23 September, the German Business Association, together with its members, visited the “Aratashen” winery. The winery is one of our valued member companies. During a guided tour of the vineyards and production facilities, we gained fascinating insights into the company’s history, mission, and the diversity of its wines. Afterwards, we had the pleasure of tasting the red and white wines of the “Schunch” line, as well as enjoying an aged wine from the winery’s cellar. SES Sinior Expert in Noyan Factory

Our member company, Noyan, recently hosted Mr. Otto, a German expert from the Senior Expert Service (SES), as part of an SES assignment.The company worked closely with Mr. Otto to develop and refine various product recipes. The assignment was very successful. Noyan is one of Armenia’s leading food producers, offering a portfolio of over 80 products. The company enjoys an excellent reputation both in Armenia and internationally.We are confident that the products developed through this collaboration will soon be available and well-received on the market. SES assignments represent an important step toward sustainable growth, introducing fresh ideas and applying German expertise and quality standards within Armenian enterprises.
Be My Guest by Noyan

On July 8, as part of the traditional “Be My Guest” event series, the German Business Association visited its member, Noyan Factory.A guided tour was organized, during which we were introduced to the company’s history and mission, as well as its production processes and product range. Following the tour, there was an opportunity to continue conversations in a welcoming atmosphere over a tasting of the company’s diverse products. We also had the chance to sample a new product developed in collaboration with a SES Senior Expert from Germany – a product that will hopefully be available on the Armenian market soon.
