“Be My Guest” event at DWV member company “Green Rock”

On April 10, the German Business Association in Armenia held another edition of its now-traditional “Be My Guest” networking series in Dilijan, hosted by member company Green Rock. The meeting opened with welcoming remarks by Green Rock CEO Katerina Danekina, DWV Board President Artashes Margaryan, and DWV Executive Director Meri Navasardyan. During the event, Green Rock presented its strategic vision and ongoing projects in Dilijan, highlighting initiatives aimed at contributing to the city’s sustainable urban development, tourism potential, and investment attractiveness. Participants also learned about the company’s development priorities and future plans. The program continued with a guided site visit, where guests observed the progress of construction works and explored the scope of the ongoing developments.
“Get Ready for Hannover Messe” Webinar

On 13 March, we successfully hosted the webinar “Get Ready for Hannover Messe”, designed to help Armenian companies prepare effectively for Hannover Messe 2026, a global platform for industrial innovation and international business partnerships. During the session, participants received a comprehensive overview of the trade fair, including its history, main industry segments, key preparation steps, important side-events, practical checklists, as well as effective strategies for networking and customer acquisition. A special thank you to our expert speakers, Dr. Veronika Luebke and Anna Klose, for their insightful and practical presentations. Dr. Veronika Luebke has been active in international business development since 2006, focusing on Eastern Europe, Central Europe, and the Caucasus region. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Bridge-One-Seven GmbH in Berlin. Anna Klose, Co-Founder of BCE Business Connect Executives, brings more than sixteen years of experience in project management and business development, supporting international companies entering the German and European markets.
General Assembly of the DWV Members

On February 26, one of the German Business Association’s most important events took place: the General Assembly of DWV members. The event was opened by Artashes Margaryan, Board President of the German Business Association, who spoke about the Association’s priorities and goals for the coming years. Mr. Lars Hennig, Deputy Head of Mission, German Embassy Yerevan, shared insights on the development and prospects of Armenian-German economic relations. Mrs. Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the Association, presented an overview of the DWV’s 2025 activities, initiatives, and key partnerships, along with the goals and important events planned for 2026. A brief presentation by Mr. Dmitry Chervyakov, analyst at Berlin Economics, a partner of the German Business Association, highlighted the results of recent analyses. The event included active discussions and a Q&A session, fostering direct dialogue among participants.
Be My Guest by Vitromed Medical Center

On February 13, the German Business Association, together with its members, visited the “Vitromed” Medical Center. Mr. Hakob Melikyan, Director of the medical center, organized a tour for the participants and presented the history of the center, the services provided, and highlighted the cooperation with the University Clinic of Lübeck in Germany. During the tour, participants became familiar with the center’s facilities, equipment, and operating rooms. After the tour, the event continued with a reception, allowing participants to network and continue discussions in an informal setting.
Be My Guest at Metroshin

On January 22, the German Business Association visited the construction company “Metroshin.” A tour and a presentation were organized for the Association’s representatives and member companies. During the presentation, the history of the company, its implemented projects, as well as its vision and mission were introduced. During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Association and the Executive Director of “Metroshin,” as a result of which the company officially joined the German Business Association. Following the official part of the event, a reception was held for the participants, providing an opportunity to continue their discussions.
Meeting at the “Green Rock” Company

On January 14, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Board of the German Business Association, Artashes Margaryan, and the CEO of the company “Green Rock,” Katerina Danekina. The project manager of the German Business Association, Shushanna Tadevosyan, and “Green Rock”’s Head of Government and External Relations, Nare Haroyan, also participated in the event. During the meeting, various discussions were held regarding the activities of both organizations and potential collaboration opportunities. Within the framework of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed, officially making “Green Rock” a member of the German Business Association.
Christmas Networking Event of the German Business Association

On December 19, the German Business Association held its annual Christmas Networking Event. As in previous years, representatives of the Association’s member organizations, along with local and international partners, were invited to participate. The event featured welcome addresses by Lars Hennig, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia and member of the DWV Advisory Board, and Artashes Margaryan, Chairman of the DWV Board. Mrs. Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association, also delivered a brief presentation. In her remarks, she outlined the Association’s activities, events, key projects, and strategic partnerships planned in 2025. New members of the Association were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their companies to fellow members. The evening continued in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving as an excellent platform for networking, meaningful discussions, and the development of potential future collaborations.
“International Arbitration, Export and Import Contracts, and Protection of Foreign Investments”

On December 5 and 6, the expert conference “International Arbitration, Export and Import Contracts, and Protection of Foreign Investments” was held, organized by the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and the German Business Association (DWV). During the conference, experts arriving from Germany presented reports on the following legal topics: dispute resolution, export and import contracts, investment protection, and regulatory frameworks. Members of the German Business Association, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, were invited to the event. The conference was moderated by Meri Navasardyan, Executive Director of the German Business Association.
Delegation Trip of Armenian Construction Companies to Germany

From November 11 to 15, within the framework of Bayern International’s “Bayern Fit for Partnership” program, a delegation of Armenian construction companies, led by the executive director of the German Business Association, Meri Navasardyan, traveled to Bavaria to visit leading Bavarian companies in the construction sector. The delegation comprised more than 20 participants representing leading construction companies of the Republic of Armenia. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to tour several renowned German companies, including Liebherr, Peri, Meiller, Wacker Neuson, Metawell, STEICO, KLB Kötztal, Sommer Informatik, and Rohde. The visit provided an opportunity to gain insight into cutting-edge construction technologies and innovative solutions, learn from German best practices, exchange new ideas, and establish new trade partnerships between the two countries.
EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly on the theme “Armenia–EU Synergy: Advancing Resilience, Innovation, and Integration

On 29 October, the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly took place at the National Assembly of Armenia under the theme “Armenia–EU Synergy: Advancing Resilience, Innovation, and Integration.” The event was organized by the German Eastern Business Association, the European Parliament, and EBA Armenia. The German Business Association as well as several of its member companies also took part in the event. Representatives of the European Parliament, the Armenian Government, the EU Delegation, and leading companies from Europe, Armenia, and the region discussed investment, innovation, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and the deepening of cooperation between the EU and Armenia.Among the participants were, among others, Sergey Lagodinsky, Co-President of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly; Alena Akulich, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at the German Eastern Business Association; and H.E. Claudia Busch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia.
